Hi, I’m Cynthia.

Joy is my mantra, and helping you find yours is why I’m here. This I know now; after many starts and stops, departures and destinations, I’ve come to see that my purpose on this planet is for healing. I know now, that there’s nothing more joyful than being healthy, happy, and whole—and this is how I see you.

When I think of my Pennsylvania beginnings—especially my early twenties as a junior flight attendant, setting out quite literally into the open skies—I think I always knew that someday, my yearning for transformation would bring me to California; but who knew that falling for a guy from my own hometown would signify the true beginning of my journey by him bringing me smack dab in the middle of a community of holistic health nuts, spiritual seekers and teachers—just like me!?

Thirty years later, Cardiff has been the perfect place to raise our child (who is off on their own journey now), pursue our dreams—and continue to grow our souls.

It was California where I found the power of daily yoga and meditation as a channel for physical and spiritual growth. With a daily practice, everything clicked—that body/mind/soul harmony that I named my business for.

Equilibrium by Cynthia exists as a space to nurture, celebrate, and share the joy of balance; because the greatest gift we bring to the world is our whole selves.

Today, I’m so grateful for the ride that has led me to this moment. Like my relationship with that silver airborne tube (where I spent over 30,000 hours suspended in the skies), it required trusting in the currents of life, and allowing them to lift me to higher levels. Sometimes gradually, sometimes too fast, and sometimes not at all. These days, I relish navigating the route more consciouslyto serve in ways that help others fly.

Let’s soar together!

Blessings and Namasté,

Cynthia

Every day, think, as you wake up and say,

“Today—I am fortunate to be alive,

I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it.

I am going to use all my energies to develop myself,

to expand my heart out to others;

to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.

I am going to have kind thoughts towards others,

I am not going to get angry or think badly about others.

I am going to benefit others as much as I can.”

About Cynthia

Seeking balance in her wellness routine, Cynthia began practicing yoga in 2006, when her enthusiasm for this ancient art form blossomed into a regular practice.  Having completed the 200-hour Hatha yoga teacher training at The Soul Of Yoga in August 2016, Cynthia is a licensed and certified Yoga Alliance Instructor. She founded Equilibrium by Cynthia in December 2016 as a place for fellow soul-seekers to grow together.

Discovering the benefits of MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) through the Chopra Center in 2014, Cynthia added meditation to her spiritual practice. In 2015, she found Divine Light Meditation at The Spiritual Arts Institute, and was drawn to its healing and transformative effects. Cynthia began her study of metaphysics at the institute, and 7 years later, is a certified metaphysician, spiritual healer, and associate teacher, earning her credentials under the tutelage of her esteemed and beloved teachers, Barbara Martin and Dimitri Moraitis.

With a grateful heart for all of her teachers, Cynthia relishes sharing their knowledge and wisdom, and leads yoga retreats to create opportunities for others’ spiritual renewal and growth.

Cynthia’s ties to faith are deeply rooted in The Church of the Nativity Community. For 25 years, she gratefully served in various ministries, with 2 terms on the Pastoral Council of the Very Reverend Monsignor Lawrence Purcell, 4 years as Liaison of Prayer Partners, the parish mentoring program, and many years as a Eucharistic Minister, and Nativity Samaritan.

Earning a BA from Duquesne University in Speech Communications and Theatre Arts, Cynthia attended USAirways Flight Attendant Training program, becoming a FAA-certified flight attendant. She enjoyed flying domestically and internationally for 13 exciting years before trading in her wings for her lifelong dream of becoming a mother.

Cynthia loves astrology, writing, dancing, singing, being in nature, live theatre, traveling to distant lands, Scrabble with her Cami, sky-gazing alongside her hubby of 30 years, and tucking with Studio Barre, where she’s completed 1400+ hours of barre classes.

Her uplifting energy guides others to be well, be joyful.
